Software Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic team at DPDzero. As a Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our digital collections and recovery platform. Your expertise in Python, FastAPI, Celery, Postgres, Redis, Vue JS, and Vuetify will be essential in implementing robust and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Tech Lead and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
  2. Develop high-quality software solutions using Python, FastAPI, Celery, and related technologies.
  3. Design and implement efficient database structures and queries using Postgres.
  4. Implement caching mechanisms using Redis for improved system performance.
  5. Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end components using Vue JS and Vuetify.
  6. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a strong emphasis on test-driven development (TDD).
  7. Collaborate with the team to identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.
  8. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and improve team productivity.
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
  10. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience as a Software Developer is preferred. Freshers can apply.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming using Celery or similar task queues.
  • Experience with relational databases like Postgres and caching systems like Redis.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end development using Vue JS and Vuetify.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and writing unit tests.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the fintech industry.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements in software development.
  • Experience with data science and machine learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control systems.
