Frontend Lead Engineer (Vue.js + TypeScript)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vue.js + TypeScript developer to lead our frontend team. Currently, our team is composed of talented full-stack developers — we want you to own the frontend vision, set up best practices, and mentor the team to deliver a world-class product experience.

You’ll collaborate closely with the backend team, product managers, and designers to craft intuitive, performant, and scalable interfaces that power critical workflows for financial institutions and borrowers across India.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the frontend architecture — ensure our Vue.js + TypeScript codebase is modular, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Lead and mentor full-stack engineers on frontend best practices (state management, testing, performance tuning).
  • Define engineering standards for frontend (linting, folder structure, CI checks, component libraries).
  • Collaborate with design to bring clean and intuitive UI/UX to life.
  • Drive adoption of modern tooling (Storybook, Vitest/Jest, Cypress, etc.).
  • Stay ahead of trends in Vue, TypeScript, and web technologies, and make thoughtful recommendations.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality pull requests.
  • Partner with backend engineers to design clean APIs and efficient data flows.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications.
  • Strong expertise in Vue.js (Vue 3), TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling (Vite, Pinia/Vuex).
  • Experience leading or mentoring other engineers — you enjoy uplifting a team’s skillset.
  • Deep understanding of component-driven architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Cypress).
  • Strong eye for UI/UX quality — you don’t just build, you polish.
  • Bonus: Experience with design systems, accessibility standards, or animation frameworks (Framer Motion, GSAP).
